A Deal That Was Worth Its Wait For Jay-Z

Finally, after many years the question has been answered. “What was the question, again?”, you may be wondering. Well, back in 2011 Paula Forbes, a writer for eater.com, asked if Jay-Z had anything to gain from promoting Armand de Brignac champagne in his music videos and during his personal celebrations. We now know that the answer is “YES”, since he just closed on a deal for and undisclosed amount that purchased the brand this week.

Now the question becomes, “Was this brand a good investment?” Let’s just say, that one night after the sprinter Usain Bolt won several medals in the 2012 Olympics, an $80,000 bottle of Armand de Brignac’s Nebuchadnezzar was sent to the nightclub table for him to celebrate with. One bottle of the Nebuchadnezzar is the same as 20 regular sized bottles of champagne. Plus, the brand has put together marketing strategies that has set Armand de Brignac apart from other Champagnes.

The owners of athletic teams have been known to purchase this brand at $90,000 a bottle and up to celebrate the success of their team and rap stars are using the Armand de Brignac brand of champagne as a symbol of luxurious living in their music videos. So, from an outside observer’s point of view, “Yes, it was a good investment!”

  1. This distinction includes the fact that every bottle is crafted by hand, from the opaque metallic gold bottles with its ace of spades logo to the specially marked Monopoly bottles. Kenneth Griffin is impressed with business mind. That is the only way that to buy a dissertation online could be in their best interest and I know it will work out fine for them.
