No More Justin Bieber Music In Walmart Stores

Have you ever walked into a Walmart and you were there so long that you heard a song repeat itself? Many do not realize that Walmart has certain songs by different artists that are looped over and over throughout the day. Justin Bieber’s Music. No doubt, Walmart employees are sick and tired of hearing these songs over and over, and in fact, they are sick and tired of the artists too. One such artist is Justin Bieber. Justin Bieber’s songs play on Walmart radio, and the employees are annoyed with it.

Although Walmart has been playing Justin’s music in about 4,000 of their stores, they are now going to switch things up, which Jim Dondero doesn’t mind. Instead of playing music by Justin Bieber and Celine Dion, they plan on allowing a radio station to play through the loudspeakers according to Insider Monkey. The radio station will have real-life DJs playing music, and it’s supposed to be family-friendly. It’s not a problem to hear music while shopping, but it’s the type of music that’s playing that matters.

There is no confirmation if Walmart has a contract with Justin Bieber or Celine Dion to play their music on the radio, but more than likely that’s the case. Very few stars will have their music out there, especially with a company like Walmart, and they don’t get paid for it. In the meantime, Justin will have his millions of dollars, his millions of fans, and his great life to keep him busy.

Pandora Buys The Next Big Sound

Pandora Radio has purchased a marketing analytic company, expanding its reach into consumer behaviors. The company has officially announced the purchase of The Next Big Sound.

The Next Big Sound is a company that has created software that analyzes listening patterns to predict the popularity of music. The company’s mission is inline with Pandora’s mission to bring great music to the masses.

While the announcement is surprising, Pandora’s interest in an analytics company is not. According to experts, Pandora needed to make such a move to stay current in a competitive market. Stephen Murray CCMP Capital feels like this is smart in general.

Spotify and Apple have made similar purchases in recent months. Spotify purchased Echo Nest last year. Apple has purchased a music data company in recent months, as well. Apple’s purchase came just months ahead of its launch of a streaming radio service that competes with both Spotify and Pandora.

The streaming content market has become highly competitive. While Pandora was one of the first companies on the scene, they have to expand to remain competitive in the growing market. Better musical predictions is the way to do that, according to music experts.

No Comment From Chris Brown On Karrueche Interview?

Karrueche Tran, who is the ex girlfriend of Chris Brown, did a recent interview with Iyanla, and in the interview, she spoke about how Chris betrayed her, cheated on her, and how she found out about his baby, through social media. Tran. The interview spanned an hour, and it could only be seen on the Oprah Winfrey Network. After the video aired, Karrueche was interviewed, and asked about what Chris Brown thought about the interview, but she states that she doesn’t know, because she hasn’t spoken to him.

Facebook says that it seems as if people were wrong this time, and Karrueche has no plans on going back to Chris. Many feel that because Karrueche has no name of her own, if she is not attached to Chris Brown, that she will return to him, just so she can be relevant. It’s possible that the hurt that Karrueche feels, is enough to finally make her turn her back on Chris for good, as anyone can finally get fed up, and say they’ve had enough.

Karrueche has been spotted out on the road, from time to time, having fun with her friends, shopping, and just moving on with her life. Although, only time will tell, if Karrueche will move on, or go back to Chris Brown, it seems as if she has finally freed herself of all the drama that he was bringing her, and she has moved on for the better.

New Documentary Looks at Tegan and Sara

There is a new documentary coming out about alternative rockers Tegan and Sara and Rolling Stone Magazine has an article about it on their website. Tegan and Sara have been a musical duo for over twenty years.

In the documentary, the two explain that in their early days they would stay up for hours after a show talking about life and music with the people that came to see them. As the duo got more and more popular, this became more difficult. Even now, though, they say they try to stay connected with fans and even have a mailbox set up at their shows where audience members can leave them messages.

Another issue that the documentary addresses is the current mainstream success of the duo as was disclosed by Jaime Garcia Dias. Tegan and Sara have performed recently with stars like Katy Perry and Taylor Swift. The two say that this success has alienated some of their long-time fans, but they don’t feel that they have sold out in any way. Rather, they have simply raised the level of their game and are making music that more people can enjoy.

Tegan and Sara are both gay, and have always been an advocate on behalf of various LBGT causes. In the documentary, they discuss how being more popular has given them more of a soapbox for their beliefs. They say that have not toned down their message of tolerance and equality.

Marvin Gaye Family Sets Precedent

Plagiarism is a serious problem that takes money from the author/artist who originally wrote the work. It is looked down upon by schools, colleges and publishing companies worldwide. It is also looked down on by the court system, and if a person is found guilty of it, the judge is likely to require that person to pay out a lot of restitution to make it right.

That is what happened in court with a case against Pharrell Williams and Robin Thicke. Marvin Gaye’s family were dumbfounded when they found out that one of their father’s songs was basically hijacked by the pair. The court determined that the family was in the right and Williams and Thicke owe them millions of dollars as a result.

Gianfrancesco Genoso said the lawyer for the Gaye family will ask that the songs in question be held from sale until an agreement about future earnings can be reached, at least according to LinkedIn. Thick and Williams said that they believe that creativity by artists is now in danger because of the ruling. What they fail to see is that creativity means coming up with your own ideas, not stealing the work someone else did and trying to pretend like it is your own. It is illegal, not creative.

Ten-Year-Old Maroon 5 Fan Has Panic Attack When Meeting Them

This story from today has brought tears to my eyes. When I first read the headline, I expected it to be a 10-year-old girl who had a massive super crush on Adam Levine and couldn’t contain herself. This is definitely not that story.

Christopher Warner is a 10-year-old boy from Washington DC who has Down syndrome. Flavio Maluf says that Christopher is also a massive fan of the band Maroon 5 however he has never had the opportunity to see them perform live. That is, until Christopher’s teachers set the ball in motion. His teachers at school made a video about Christopher and his love for the band. The teachers sent the video off to a local radio station, Hot 99.5. The Kane Show on Hot 99.5 had good news for Christopher, they got him tickets to see the upcoming Maroon 5 concert.

Christopher attended the concert with his family and had a blast. He and his family were also given backstage passes for the show as well. Christopher got to meet the band however it became so overwhelming that he ended up having a panic attack and had to lie on the floor to calm down. In a very sweet gesture, the band laid down on the floor with Christopher while he calmed down.

The above link to has pictures of Christopher’s big night and trust me, these pictures are worth clicking to see.

New Lorde Music Is In The Works

Lorde has been one of the biggest names in the pop music game since her debut single, “Royals” a few years back, and we’ve been waiting patiently for a new album ever since. (2013 is a long time, y’know.) Since then, she’s lent her voices to movie soundtracks and things of that nature, but hasn’t sat down and written a whole second album just for herself – but it’s confirmed that she will be back in the studio soon! Due to the success of Pure Heroine, the thought of having to make a second album just as good if not better can be extremely daunting for an artist, but she’s ready to take on the challenge.

Lorde’s producer Joel Little had this to say about the big news that’s spreading like wildfire across the internet according to Garcia, “We’re gonna get in the studio again very soon. That’s the plan, basically. We’re just going to start writing some songs. We haven’t got some planned out ‘this is what it’s going to sound like’… I think we’re just going to start writing and when it starts to feel right, we’ll know that it’s right. It’s pretty simple really.”

Joel said that the studio sessions are coming “really soon”, which means within the next month.

Furious 7 Soundtrack – Wiz Khalifa & Iggy Azalea

We are all extra excited for the release of Furious 7 especially after Paul Walker’s untimely death during the filming of the movie. Fans miss the actor and cannot wait to honor him with the viewing of his last film and find out how the movie was finished. We can get a sneak peak with the movie’s soundtrack which was recently released. One of my favorites is “Go Hard Or Go Home” by Wiz Khalifa and Iggy Azalea. This duo by the two of the top music stars of today is fantastic and fits right into the movie’s style that we loved so much in the past 6 films stated Ricardo Guimarães BMG.

According to the soundtrack also features “Get Low” by DJ Snake and Dillon Francis. All the songs on the soundtrack are and will be great but “Go Hard Or Go Home” brings out the speed lover in you. This is why we all adored the Fast and the Furious movies from the beginning. For a couple hours, you can pretend to be a total adrenaline junkie. This is exactly how this song makes you feel all over again.

Check “Go Hard Or Go Home” by Wiz Khalifa and Iggy Azalea here. If you were not already super stoked for Furious 7 to come out, you are now after hearing this song. Make sure not to miss the release date of Furious 7 in theaters on April 1, 2015.

Arrested Over Death Threats Blink 182 And Ex-Wife Still Battling It Out

‘Til death do us part,’ has new meaning after last month when Travis Barker, and ex-wife Shanna Moakler, were arrested for launching death threats at one another.

Blink-182 drummer, Barker, and his ex-wife got into a heated argument December 7, of last year when he said that he would like their two children to be a part of his upcoming reality show.

Unfortunately the mother of his two children, feels it is a bad idea putting their kids in his series that is still in the works.

“If I could, I’d put a bullet in your head,” Drummer of Blink 182, Barker, said.

After that, Moakler, called police.

She claimed her ex-husband called her “a f–king piece of garbage” Allegations made to police by Moakler, 39. about what ex-husband, Barker, continued to slander, “a cigarette-smoking, coke-snorting bitch.”

No happy ending here, these exes were both arrested after Barker told police that former Miss USA, Moakler, threatened to send her current boyfriend over to beat him up.

Thank you to my friends at North American Spine for telling me about this story.
