The Kabbalah Centre of Los Angeles

The Kabbalah Centre was founded in Los Angeles in 1922 by Rav Yehuda Ashlag. This non-profit organization teaches courses on Kabbalistic teachings both online and at the Kabbalah Centre. Over time they have also developed Kabbalah teaching centers in over 50 cities worldwide. In addition to online and in person teaching the Kabbalah School also is a provider of books, DVD’s, lectures and prayer services.

The Kabbalah Centre teaches the Zohar which as their sacred text contains the wisdom of Kabbalah and the writings of the greatest kabbalists. As knowledge of Hebrew and is needed to read the Zohar, the Kabbalah Centre teaches their beliefs in a way that does not require understanding the writing of that language. Also, the Kabbalah Centre does not present itself as a religion but rather as a supplement. the Kabbalah Centre uses it teaching to help people gather the tools and understanding they need in order to improve their lives, the people they know, and the world around them. They seek to make their principals relevant to everyday modern life.

This non-profit also offers “Energy Tours”. On these tours participants travel on spiritual pilgrimages to various locations around the world. On these tours they have travel guides that speak several languages in order to meet the language needs of the travelers.

The Kabbalah Centre has also been involved in charitable work. One of the examples of this is their involvement in helping the victims of the 2010 Haiti earthquake, Hurricane Katrina, and Superstorm Sandy. For Superstorm Sandy they made contributions to both the American Red Cross and local community organizations. They have also worked with Habitats for Humanity and their quest to bring housing to the needy and homeless.

The Importance of a Kabbalah Center

The whole idea behind Kabbalah is teaching individuals how to regain balance in their lives. It’s about finding what makes you happy and in harmony, whilst getting rid of or staying away from negative energy.

A lot of people today go through life unhappy. They feel stressed by their careers, they just fell out of a relationship or lost a love one to death. Life happens to all of us but how well you handle this negative energy will greatly determine the quality of life you live.

Kabbalah is a teaching that has been passed down for years by the Jews. Through Kabbalah teachings, one is able to amass true joy, inner peace and find the fulfillment they are looking for in life. There are three main ways which one can use to learn and practice Kabbalah.

Online Courses

One can find a Kabbalah centre online and enroll for their classes. These online teaching centers have thousands of resources like articles, videos or journals that teach an individual everything they need to do. There are online student tutors who will help you formulate a study plan that is specifically tailored to your needs and interests. You only need good internet access, a laptop or smartphone to get started.

Book Studies

There are plenty of books for download in online Kabbalah centers. These books cover different types of topics to help one understand life and what it means to have true joy. An online Kabbalah center would allow access to a large online library for just a low monthly subscription. One can explore as many topics as they can and even be specific with their studies—reading only the material that applies in their lives.

Contact Groups

The movement of Kabbalah has grown from just remote centers to global contact groups. A contact group is basically a group of like-minded individuals coming together to study Kabbalah. An online Kabbalah center would include location finders to help locate a contact group near you.

Studying Kabbalah helps you find the peace and balance you need in your life. Many of the people who have successfully completed the courses have regained a newer perspective for life and wake up each day rejuvenated.

Kabbalah Centres Worldwide are the Centers of Ancient Spirituality

Many people think that Kabbalah is a religion, but it is an ancient wisdom and supernatural study of spirituality. Kabbalah has existed since the beginning of civilization and before the Jewish nation was formed. They do not worship or recite formal prayers. Kabbalah believes that all humans have a Divine purpose on Earth, so they are to continue learning the wisdom, and all things spiritual, while they are here.
The Kabbalahists believe that there is a higher power that is all light and that humans are to try to get closer to that light throughout their lifetimes. The word “Kabbalah” literally means “to receive,” and those who follow this wisdom are to receive the light and the principles that make it up. Students of Kabbalah do not study this ancient belief like a discipline, but rather they use principles of the wisdom to reveal the spiritual beliefs.

Kabbalah Centres

Kabbalah was brought to America in the 1980s by Kav and Karen Berg who studied at the original Centre in Israel in 1922. After 10 years of study, they founded the first Centre in New York where they held classes and translated the original teachings into many languages.

Kabbalah Centres are centralized locations where followers can come together to learn the principles of Kabbalah. Today, there are over 40 Centres worldwide where students learn from an experienced instructor how to focus on their spiritual life. Kabbalahists say they learn spirituality that allows them to make better decisions about their lives and reveal the joy that is inherently inside of everyone.

In 2016, Kabbalah Centres are not the only place Kabbalah is taught. The Centre in Los Angeles daily broadcasts courses, daily meditations, and related information online and on the radio. This allows people, where ever they may live, to be involved and learn Kabbalah.

Centres provide more fellowship with volunteering events and monthly dinners, but today, anyone who wants to learn the spiritual principles of Kabbalah and find happiness and joy has the opportunity in Kabbalah Centres or online.
