Francisco Dominech is the managing partner of the firm, Politank. The firm specializes in designing strategies to put private interests first. Before going to work for Politank, Dominech served as the Director of the Legislative Assembly, which is the equivalent of the U.S. Congressional Research Service. While there, he helped to expand the services that they provide, including easier access for the physically handicapped and for the blind.
Francisco Dominech earned his Bachelor’s degree in political science and Juris Doctor at the School of Law of University of Puerto Rico. Since then, he has had experience in a little bit of everything from canvassing to campaign management. In 2003-2004, he oversaw governor Pedro Rossell’s campaign. Another major contributor to his career is the fact that he is also the founder of Puerto Rico Young Democrats. When asked what inspired him in this endeavor, he states that he started his career as an activist for the democratic party while in college himself. He said that the party most resembled his own ideals. He served as President in his college’s student body council, which he says gave him the idea for Puerto Young Democrats as a drive to help students stay politically active on the island but on worldwide issues that mattered to them.
Francisco Dominech dedicates much of his day staying up to date on all of the political news from overnight to the next morning. He uses current events to try and think of practical solutions for his own ideas. He says that his family is what keeps him going the most. He says that one trend that excites him is seeing young people take advantage of the digital age in entrepreneurship endeavors changing the environment around them in that way.
