Literature at its Best; Brazilian Author Jaime Garcia Dias

Brazil noted for its beautiful landscapes and people, excellent food, and historic cultural diversity. With so much to see and experience, Brazil is unlike any other place on the map- a perfect journey for Brazilians and others from around the world.

Often seen as the ideal place for vacation and relaxation- a perfect place to get away and enjoy life beyond the hubbub of big cities and chaotic workplaces- Brazil is the land of desire and mystery, a place where many want to be. Perhaps much of its charm is noted in South American literature often full of vivid detail, a deep culture, and expressive literary notes. The charming nature of the land is recorded in books written by Brazilian authors and others from magical realism to non-fiction, fiction and so much more. While a journey to the only South American nation that speaks Portuguese is worth the effort, for those of us who do appreciate the magic of the imagination and dreams, reading the tales of great Brazilian authors can be just as wondrous- inspiring us to think deeper about our lives and experiences.

One such author, born in the often described as “magical” city of Rio de Janeiro, Jaime Garcia Dias (LinkedIn), author and recipient of numerous literary awards, was once inspired to pursue his talent and passion at a young age. His father, also being a writer, was his mentor- pushing him into the direction of literature from the age of 15. After inheriting many pieces of literature from his father, Dias went on to publish more than 20 books becoming one of the leading fiction writers in Brazil. In 2013, he honored his father with a publication entitled “crônica Um Sábio, no Jornal do Brasil.” Soon after that, he went on to write for a weekly literature journal in Brazil inspiring generations with his descriptive and touching works for years to come.

Jaime Garcia Dias (Twitter) continues to write, inspiring younger generations of Brazilians along the way. While his works are vastly popular in South America and the Carribean, the ideas behind his titles have a global reach. Like other Brazilian authors before him and current, Dias, continues to write with a passion that runs deep and proudly through his beautiful land.
